Tata Altroz beats Toyota Glanza in February 2020

New Delhi : As expected Tata Altroz is attracting buyers, credit to its solid build quality and premium yet sporty looks. The car registered booking of 2,806 units in February against 2,710 units for the Toyota Glanza.

Toyota Glanza had been an attraction among the buyers since it has been made available for sale despite being a rebadged version of Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It had been on the third spot after Baleno and Hyundai Elite I20 in terms of the sale figures in January 2020.

Glanza's contribution becomes more vital from the next month as Toyota's portfolio will be reduced to mere six from 12 due to mandatory BS VI norms.

The premium hatchback section has been in a good demand in last four years and to cater the demand Tata has introduced Altroz in the market.

It is part of the brand’s strategy to address 95 per cent of the addressable volume segments. The Altroz posted a total of 2,806 units last month as against 4,505 units the previous month with Month-on-Month decline of 38 per cent.

Tata's Atroz has been aggressively priced at Rs 5.29 lakh for the entry-level XE petrol and Rs. 9.29 lakh for the range-topping XZ (O) diesel variant (both prices introductory, ex-showroom pan India).

The car also comes with an advantage of five star safety ratings by Global NCAP.
