Tata unveils Altroz hatchback, official launch next month

New Delhi : All you folks waiting to know about the upcoming Tata Altroz, the details have been unveiled by the company. The car will be put in direct competition with Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20, both the cars have been preferred choices in the hatchback segment.

Tata Altroz will be offered in both Petrol and Diesel variant with manual transmissions.

The concept with name 45X (now Altroz) was first featured during the 2018 Auto Expo with much fanfare as Tata’s advancement in the B+ hatchback segment.

While the production version keeps most of the concept design, there are some basic changes in accordance with Tata elements like the grille, tail lamps and prominent wheel arches.

According to released information, the car will be sporting a 1.2-litre 83bhp naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel producing 88bhp/200Nm. Both the engines will be offered in manual transmission mode. All versions get dual front airbags and ABS with EBD. 

The car will be officially launched in January 2020.
