Delhi : The all-new fourth-generation Swift has finally been shown by Suzuki at the Tokyo 2023 Japan Mobility Show. The hatchback headed for India boasts additional features and has undergone external and interior renovations. We will cover all you need to know about the upcoming Suzuki Swift, which will soon be available in India, in this post.

External of Maruti suzuki Swift

First, the Swift's front and back profiles have been updated. It has a relocated Suzuki logo, a gloss black mesh-patterned grille with black surrounds, slimmer LED headlights with inverted-L-shaped LED DRLs, and a silver-finished faux skid plate up front. Moving on to the flanks, side skirts give the 16-inch alloys a fresh look. The rear door handle has also been moved by the carmaker from the pillar to the door. Next, a crease that extends from the door panels to the tailgate is present.

The model on display during the event had a black roof and was painted a blue metallic finish. The general design of the tail lights has been maintained at the back. It does, however, have a new LED arrangement that is an inverted C with black borders. A rear wiper, a revised blacked-out back bumper, a rear camera with sensors, a high-mounted stop lamp, and a conventional radio antenna are some of the other obvious highlights.

Interior of Maruti suzuki Swift

The new Swift's interior cabin has similarities with the Baleno and Fronx. A free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, new air conditioning vents, automated climate control, a keyless start/stop button, automatic headlights, steering-mounted controls, and an analog instrument cluster with a compact MID are all standard.

The 2017 Swift will be available worldwide with a complete LED light configuration, six airbags, Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree surround camera, collision mitigation braking, adaptive high beam assist, and a driver monitoring system as standard safety features.

Engine and technical details

The new mild hybrid technology is the 2024 Suzuki Swift's main selling point. But in India, it probably will have a 1.2-liter K Series petrol-hybrid engine paired with an AMT gearbox and a five-speed manual transmission. The model that is now being sold in India has a choice between a gasoline and a CNG engine.

Debut time and competitors

In the second half of 2024, the fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is anticipated to go on sale in India. When it arrives, the Swift will compete with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Renault Kiger, Toyota Glanza, Tata Tiago, Tata Altroz, and Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
