Delhi : In February 2023, Maruti Suzuki India Limited had tremendous growth. Sales in the passenger vehicle segment increased in February 2023 from 1,33,948 units sold in February 2022 to 1,47,467 units, an increase of 10.09 percent. There was an increase in volume of 13,519 units. MoM sales increased 0.08 percent from the 1,47,348 units sold in January 2023.

The company announced that the Eeco van had sold 10 lakh units in the previous month. The country's consumers have responded to the new Fronx with extraordinary enthusiasm, according to booking data. Together with the Jimny 5 door, it has been made available for reservations and will be sold through the business' Nexa showroom.

Maruti Suzuki Sales in February 2023

In comparison to the 1,33,948 units sold in February 2022, Maruti Suzuki passenger vehicle sales in domestic markets were 1,47,467 units in February 2023. Moreover, YTD sales dramatically increased from 11,97,697 units sold during the FY 2021–2022 period to 14,74,107 units sold during the FY 2022–2023 period.

Sales in the micro segment, which featured products like the Alto and S-Presso, increased from 19,691 units in February 2022 to 21,875 units in February 2023. YTD sales grew from 1,96,271 units sold in the same time of the previous year to 2,21,329 units sold in FY 2022–23. Models in the compact sector, such as the Baleno, Celerio, DZire, etc., had an increase in demand year over year.

Sales increased from 77,795 units sold in February 2022 to 79,898 units in the most recent month. Compared to the same period previous year, YTD sales increased to 7,91,197 units in FY 2022–23 from 6,22,567 units sold.

De-growth was observed for the Maruti Ciaz, whose sales dropped to 792 units in the most recent month from 1,912 units in February 2022 and to 13,310 units overall from 14,035 units in the fiscal year 2021–2022, respectively. In February 2023, Maruti Suzuki released the Nexa Black Edition Ciaz along with new dual tone colour schemes and enhanced features for the Ciaz.

Sales of utility vehicles (Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, XL6 and Grand Vitara) increased from 25,360 units in February 2022 to 33,550 units in February 2023. Moreover, YTD sales increased from 2,65,700 units sold in FY 2021-22 to 3,29,075 units sold in FY 2022–23. The Eeco van's sales rose YoY and YTD to 11,352 units and 1,19,196 units, respectively. With sales of 3,356 units in February 2023, Maruti Suzuki's Super Carry dominates the LCV market. It decreased year over year from the 3,659 units sold in February 2022. However, YTD sales increased in FY 2022–23 from 30,015 units sold in FY 2021–22 to 33,982 units sold in FY 2022–23.

Total Domestic Sales (PV+LCV)

In February 2023, 1,50,823 units of both passenger and light commercial cars were sold, an increase over the 1,37,607 units sold in February 2022. Moreover, YTD sales increased dramatically, going from 12,27,712 units sold in FY 2021–22 to 15,08,089 units sold in FY 2022–23. Moreover, Maruti Suzuki offers several models to other Automakers (Toyota). These sales grew to 4,291 units in February 2023 from 2,428 units sold in February 2022, and YTD sales, which had been 42,666 units in FY 2021–2022 and 58,790 units in FY 2022–2023 respectively, also saw an improvement.

Total domestic market sales, which comprise passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and OEM sales, grew to 1,55,114 units in February 2023 from 1,40,035 units sold in February 2022. YTD sales increased to 15,66,879 units in FY 2022–23 from 12,70,378 units sold in FY 2021–22.

While YTD exports increased to 2,29,214 units in FY 2022–23 from 2,11,880 units delivered in FY 2021–22, they decreased on a YoY basis to 17,207 units in February 2023 from 24,021 units sold in February 2022. On a YoY basis, total sales (domestic + exports) increased to 1,72,321 units from 1,64,056 units. Moreover, YTD sales increased significantly in FY 2022–23 from 14,82,258 units sold in FY 2021–22 to 17,96,093 units.
