New Delhi : Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Thursday unveiled the much-awaited Hilux lifestyle pickup truck in India. The new pickup truck is likely to go on sale in March. The Toyota Hilux will be offered only in the double-cab variant. 

The pickup truck looks more like Fortuner from the front as it shares the IMV-2 platform. 

Talking about the exterior of Toyota Hilux, it gives an impression of Innova Crysta with large hexagonal grille. The truck has been fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, side-step, body cladding very aptly maintain that rugged sense of a SUV.



On the interior, Toyota Hilux resembles the new age Fortuner. As per reports, the car gets an all-black interior like Fortuner. The truck has also been fitted with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated seats, cruise control, eight-way electrically adjustable front seats, app-based connected car tech and wireless charger among others.

Toyota Hilux has been fitted with 2.8-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine from the Fortuner that develops 201 bhp and 420 Nm of peak torque in the manual variant, while the automatic variant makes 500 Nm of peak torque. 

The bookings for the pickup truck have begun and it will be available for sale from March onwards.
