Delhi : Australian NCAP gave the Mahindra Scorpio N a 0-star grade. The SUV received a 44% for adult occupant protection and an 80% for child occupant protection rating. However, the Scorpio N failed the test due to a 0% Safety Assist score.

The passenger compartment remained stable during the front offset test, according to the test report. The driver's chest and lower legs were well protected. All other crucial body parts were well protected for both the driver and front passenger.

In the full-width frontal test, the driver's protection was graded as poor for the chest and good for all other key body locations. The rear passenger's head, neck, and chest received inadequate protection.

In the side impact test, the driver's important body parts were well protected. However, the driver's seatbelt was found to unlatch during the impact, increasing the chance of injury.

In the oblique pole test, protection was limited for the driver's chest but adequate for all other key body regions.

The protection of the 10-year-old child dummy's neck and chest was graded as marginal in the frontal offset test. Otherwise, both child dummies were well-protected. Both child dummies performed well in the side impact test.

The Scorpio N comes standard with dual frontal, side chest, and side head airbags. However, it does not receive an Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system or lane support.
