Delhi : Jaguar Land Rover, a Tata Motors-owned luxury automobile brand, has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director for its India operation. Rohit Suri, the company's current President and Managing Director, will retire at the end of the current fiscal year. While the business did not name Rohit's replacement at the time, it has now announced that Rajan Amba would take over as Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover India on March 1, 2023.

Rajan joins Jaguar Land Rover from Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, where he is now Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care. Rajan Amba will succeed Rohit Suri, who will retire on March 31, 2023.

Regarding his new position, Rajan Amba stated, "I have thoroughly loved my time at Tata Motors and am looking forward to the next one at Jaguar Land Rover, two historic automakers that I greatly admire. I eagerly anticipate leading our future growth plan at Jaguar Land Rover India along with my new colleagues.

"Rajan's customer-centric attitude, extensive experiences from various industries, and his passionate and authentic leadership approach, bring the appropriate mix of traits to further grow our operations into the promising future of India, linked with our overarching Reimagine goal to become the creator of the world's most desirable luxury vehicles and services for the most discriminating of consumers," said Martin Limpert, Regional Director, Overseas, Jaguar Land Rover.

Jaguar Land Rover India is a key luxury automotive marque in India, offering a variety of goods under the two brands. In recent years, the business has introduced some intriguing models in India, including the all-electric Jaguar I-Pace, the new-generation Land Rover Defender, and the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
