Hundreds of Subway stores shut in US, CEO to resign
New Delhi : Subway CEO Suzanne Greco on Wednesday announced her plans to resign from her post after hundreds of Subway stores were shut recently.
According to reports, the number of Subway stores in US has shrinked down to 909, three times less as compared to last year. It has also been learned that the company has plans to shut down 500 more stores this year.
Apparently, franchisees were not happy with the working of Suzanne Greco.
Greco said in a statement, “Subway has been part of my life since I was 7 years old. I love the brand and the company, and I always will, but it’s time for me to have more balance in my life. I feel very good about the strategic moves we’ve made in the last three years, and I have confidence in the future of the company.”
Trevor Haynes will be replacing Suzanne Greco will be replacing her as the interim CEO of the company. Greco will retire on June 30 but she will continue to serve as a senior advisor to Subway.
