New Delhi : Go First may have plans to kickstart their operations again, but the worries are far from end. It has been learned that over 150 employees have plans to tender their resignation in the next two weeks due to non-payment of their salaries.

According to a media report , the employees have not received their salaries for the past three months of May, June. Some of them have also started looking for job opportunities with other airlines.

150 Employees Include 30 Pilots, 50 Crew Members

According to the report, an executive at Go First mentioned that approximately 150 staff members, including 30 pilots and 50 cabin crew members, are intending to step down within the upcoming two weeks.

The news comes at a time when the cash-strapped airlines is looking for ways to reestablish itself and start its operations soon.

Go First Cancels Flights Till August 18

Go First announced on Wednesday that it will be prolonging its flight cancellations until August 18, 2023, citing 'operational reasons'. Notably, the budget airline's flights have been suspended since May 3. Previously, the airline had extended its cancellations until Wednesday, August 16.

In this regard, Go First issued a statement , saying, "We regret to inform that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled till 18th August 2023 have been cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellations."
