Tata Sons wins bid for Air India, official statement awaited

New Delhi : Tata Sons has won the bid to run beleaguered Air India. The development comes after a panel of ministers accepted a proposal that recommender Tata Sons, as per a Bloomberg News report. An official announcement for the same is still awaited.

On Thursday, IANS had reported that the Centre has asked Air India to ensure that its employee vacate the company-provided accommodations within six months from the date of divestment of the airline.

Accordingly, employees staying in company accommodations in different housing establishments will have to vacate or face strict penal action or heavy monitory penalty with disciplinary action, the IANS report stated.
