Gautam Adani loses 9 billion dollars in just three days
New Delhi : Billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani is no more Asia's second richest man as he lost around 9 billion dollars in just three days.
A sudden drop in his wealth was registered after the stock prices of his several firms showed downward trend in the share market.
Zhong Shanshan, the Chinese billionaire who made a fortune by selling bottled water, has now reclaimed the spot of the second-richest person in Asia.
The drop of share prices are a result of reports pointing out that the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) has frozen three accounts of key foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) having a major stake in four listed firms under the Adani Group.
The total net worth of Adani has come down to 63 billion dollars from 77 billion dollars in last four days. In the last three days, he has lost $9 billion.
It can further go down on Friday.
