New Delhi : The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility Common Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 exam in 557 cities across the nation and 14 cities outside India on Sunday. Soon after the exam was held, there were several social media reports which claimed that the exam paper was leaked.

To clear the air over paper leak, the National Testing Agency has refuted the claims of paper leak. However, NTA acknowledged that there was an error in Rajasthan where aspirants were given English medium question paper while they were supposed to be given Hindi medium question paper.

In an official statement, NTA said that instances of 'paper leak' being claimed are completely false and it is being done to sensationalise the news. In an isolated incident at a Girls Higher Secondary Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Hindi medium students were given English medium question paper; a couple of students forcefully walked out with the paper.

According to the rules, students are not allowed to exit the hall with question paper during the exam. But, some students forcefully walked out, due to which the question paper was circulated on internet at around 4:00 PM. But by that time, the exam had already started in all the designated centres so there is no question of 'paper leak' of NEET UG 2024.

NEET UG 2024 was conducted on May 5, from 2 pm till 5:20 pm. The medical entrance exam was held in 557 cities across the country and 14 cities abroad in multiple exam centres.

This year, more than 23,00,000 candidates have registered for the exam in which over 10,00,000 are male students and over 13,00,000 are girls.
