BPSC exam to be held on Nov 27: Read complete info

New Delhi : In the recent development, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the civil judge PCS J examination to two days. The exam which was scheduled to be held on November 25, 2018, will now be conducted on November 27, 2018, and November 28, 2018.

Recently, the BPSC exam notification was released in the official website on October 11, 2018. The notification mentioned that the detailed programme of the examination will be uploaded on the website soon. 

The application process was started on September 11, 2018, was completed on October 1, 2018. The last date to submit the applications was October 6, 2018.

Vacancies and recruitment in Bihar Public Service Commission

As per official circular, there are total 349 vacancies which will be filled by the eligible candidates. The vacancies have been sub-divided according to the following categories:

General Category: 175

OBC: 42

EBC: 73

SC: 56

ST: 3

About BPSC

The Bihar Public Service Commission came into existence from April 1, 1949, after its separation from the Commission for the States of Orissa and Madhya Pradesh.

BPSC initially began its functioning for the State of Bihar with its headquarters at Ranchi. The State Government decided to shift the headquarters of the Commission from Ranchi to Patna and it was finally shifted to Patna on March 1, 1951.
