New Delhi : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct the class 10th and 12th board examinations starting from Monday, March 5. More than 28 lakh candidates will appear for class 10 and 12 examinations a CBSE official said today.

A total of 16,38,428 candidates have registered for class 10th Board examination, while 11,86,306 candidates have registered for class 12th Borad examination.

The Class 10th board exams will continue till April 4, while Class 12th borad exams will continue till April 12, 2018. The CBSE class 10th borad exam will be conducted at 4,453 centres across India and 78 centres outside India. while, for class 12th exam will be held at 4,138 centres in India and 71 centres abroad.

"The board has made appropriate arrangements with state authorities and local police to ensure trouble free examinations throughout the country," the CBSE official said.

Before leaving your house, ensure that you have the following items: Water bottle, extra pens, ruler, pencil, eraser, sharpener, watch and the hall ticket.

Here are the checklist for candidates leaving for the examination centre:

Admit Cards

Make sure you are carrying the hall ticket or admit card. CBSE had opened the window for downloading the admits cards on February for both regular and private students. You can download the admit cards now if you have not downloaded it yet. It is compulsory for the students to carry the admit cards to the exam centres. The admit cards contain details about the exam centres, roll number etc.

The Stationary

This includes the pen/pensil etc. Only Blue and black pens are allowed to write examinations. It is also advised that to have an extra pen for the use.

Eat a balanced diet 

Be light on your diet, but eat nutritious foods, especially fruits, which give you energy yet keep you light and energetic. Drink plenty of water, keep yourself hydrated.

Water 

Carrying your own water also reduces the chance of falling sick by drinking water from other sources.
