CBSE to announce Class 12th Board Exam Results 2017 on Sunday at www.cbse.nic.in
New Delhi : Amid tussle over CBSE's decision on moderation policy, the wait for Class 12 Board Exam students might get over by Sunday with sources confirming the release of the same to Hindustan Times. According to the sources, the CBSE Board Class 12th Results 2017 will be declared on Sunday forenoon on the official website - www.cbse.nic.in.
It is expected that CBSE will release official information of the above on official website by today. Over 27,65,993 students had appeared for the CBSE class 10 and class 12 Exams this year.
On Thursday, Education Minister Prakash Javadekar announced that students should not panic over the Delhi High Court decision as CBSE will be releasing its results as per schedule.
"CBSE result will be declared on time, the date will be told by CBSE. No need to worry about court's order, justice will be done for all'', he said.
Javadekar's remarks came in the wake of the Delhi High Court's direction to CBSE not to implement its decision to scrap its moderation policy on marks this year. The court had noted that the CBSE had decided to do away with the moderation policy after the students had taken the examinations.
The court's direction came on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that contended that the policy should not be done away with this year since it will affect students of Class 12 who have applied for admissions abroad.
