New Delhi : India is hosting foreign ministers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in New Delhi during June 5-6, 2025. The forthcoming India-Central Asia Foreign Ministries summit is likely to discuss gamut of issues related to bilateral and multilateral engagement between India and Central Asia countries.

Science and technological cooperation is an important aspect of interactions between New Delhi and central Asian countries. A delegation from Uzbekistan led by His Excellency Mr. Rustam Karimjonov, Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies, Republic of Uzbekistan is visiting the MERI Group of Institutions on Friday June 06, 2025. He is likely to have deliberations with the MERI on issues related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering and cyber security. Also, they would be critically analysing the role of AI in various aspects of today’s life. Prof (Dr) Ramakant Dwivedi, Head, MERI Centre for International Studies & Director, India Central Asia Foundation stated, “India and Uzbekistan are having cordial ties and have identical views on all regional and international issues. New Delhi and Tashkent have been cooperating in combating international terrorism and religious extremism.”

Delegation from MERI Group of Institutions would be led by Hon’ble Shri I P Aggarwal, Chairman, Triveni Educational and Social Welfare Society  and Prof Lalit Aggarwal, Vice-President, MERI Group of Institutions. Other members of the delegation from Uzbekistan includes Mr. Jasur Asqarov, Deputy Director, IT Education Center, Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Farruh Abduvohidov, Head of Department, Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
