NEET UG 2020 examination postponed till May end

New Delhi : The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Under Graduate (NEET UG) 2020 examination that was scheduled for May 3 has been postponed till May end.

The admit cards for the examinations, which were scheduled to release on Friday, will now be released on a new date after accessing the situation on April 15, NTA said.

The NTA, in a public notice issued on Friday evening, said NEET UG 2020 "is proposed to be held in the last week of May 2020. The exact date will be announced later after assessing the situation".

The decision was taken after a meeting between senior officials of the ministries of health and HRD on Friday.

The notice, issued by NTA director-general Vineet Joshi said, “In view of the hardships face by parents and students due to Covid-19 epidemic, the NTA has postponed the ensuing NEET (UG) May 2020 examination scheduled to be held on May 3, 2020.”

Meanwhile, the NTA has advised students to keep a check on the official website for the latest announcements and also utilize this time for preparation of the examination.
