New Delhi : As a part of a prestigious Indian agriculture Research Institute (IARI) Global University, New Delhi, IARI Patna Hub located at ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna started its Under Graduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG) and Ph.D programme today.  Being, a premier research organization of ICAR, New Delhi, and a new chapter is added to its achievement as, 25 UG, 2 PG and 2 Ph.D Students are expected to join at IARI, Patna Hub. 

There are altogether 16 IARI hubs located across the country as a part of IARI Mega University of Concept. ICAR RCER, Patna has been designated as IARI -Patna Hub along with sister institutes of ICAR located at Patna. Till date 18 students from Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and other parts of country have joined at IARI, Patna hub. An orientation program was organized today for the newly admitted students of IARI- Patna Hub under the chairmanship of Dr Anup Das, Director of the institute. The sister institute of ICAR located at Patna such as Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI) and regional centre of Central Potato Research Station, Patna are partners in this important endeavor. Addressing the students, Director, ATARI, Patna, Dr. Anjani Kumar said them to fix their targets and timeline of study, and maintain discipline in the campus. He suggested them to revise daily for better learning and told them to be the role model for future students of agriculture. Dr Anup Das, Director, ICAR RCER, Patna in his address, motivated students to follow their dreams. He stressed on continuous interactive learning, growing together, keeping students healthy and maintain proper discipline during their tenure at the institute.

Earlier, Hub Coordinator Dr Ujjwal Kumar, welcomed all the students and faculties and informed about the objectives of IARI Mega University as well as its satellite model of education. He affirmed that ICAR RCER, Patna will provide best facilities and faculty to its student for proper learning. Interaction among students and faculties also took place. Dr. Md. Monobrullah, Co- Coordinator of UG studies informed that the regular classes will be commenced from 6th December 2023 at ICAR-RCER campus in which scientists of different discipline from ICAR RCER, Patna and sister institutes will act as faculty. He also urges the students to maintain the discipline.
