Surajkund International School Launches 'Medi-Nest' on Doctor's Day, A New Initiative to Prioritize Student Healthcare

New Delhi : On the special occasion of Doctor's Day, Surajkund International School, Faridabad launched a state-of-the-art medical room titled ‘Medi-Nest’, with a strong focus on ensuring the health and safety of its students. The initiative is seen as a crucial step toward providing emergency healthcare support within the school premises.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests, including Mrs. Parul Singh, President, Divyang Para Sports Organization (Delhi); Mr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, Senior Journalist and Editor; Mr. Santosh Thakur, General Manager, Dainik Jagran; Mr. Sushil Bhatia, Chief Editor, Dainik Jagran; and Dr. Ashwini Pruthi, Former President, Dental Association. The event was led by Mr. Satyendra Bhadana, Senior Advocate and Director of the school, and Mrs. Shubrata Singh, Principal, who collectively inaugurated the facility by cutting the ribbon.
The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a Saraswati Vandana, welcome song, and a vibrant cultural performance by students. The Guests were honored with shawls and floral bouquets by the school management as a token of appreciation.
Mr. Satyendra Bhadana, Director of Surajkund International School, shared that the objective behind establishing ‘Medi-Nest’ is to provide immediate first-aid to students in case of emergencies. “The room is equipped with a fully stocked first-aid kit, pulse oximeter, wheelchair, comfortable beds, essential medicines, a qualified nurse, and a trained health assistant,” he stated.
Mrs. Parul Singh, President of the Divyang Para Sports Organization (Delhi), appreciated the school’s initiative and remarked, “Today, education is no longer confined to books. It encompasses the holistic development of students- physically, mentally, and emotionally. Launching a modern facility like ‘Medi-Nest’ is a commendable and visionary step by Surajkund International School. It reflects the institution’s commitment not only to academic excellence but also to student well-being and safety.
