CBSE NEET Results 2017 Delayed: Madras HC orders interim stay on declaring results

New Delhi : CBSE NEET Results 2017: The Madras High Court (HC) Madurai Bench today restrained the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) from declaring the results of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 until June 7, 2017.The results are scheduled to be released on June 8.

The mother of the candidate, who took the test in English language, had termed the test as being violative of the Article 14 contending that all the question papers in various language, including Hindi, English and Tamil, were not same and not of same difficulty level.

Latest update tweeted by ANI, the Madurai bench of Madras High Court has granted an interim stay on the release of CBSE NEET 2017 Results. NEET Exam 2017 was conducted by CBSE on May 7 and CBSE NEET 2017 Answer Keys were expected by May 31.

Justice M.V.Muralidaran passed the interim order on a joint writ petition filed by a group of students from Madurai seeking a direction to the Centre to cancel the NEET conducted on May seven for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses on the ground that different question papers set for the test held in ten languages would lead to discrimination between students.
