MBoSE Meghalaya Class 10 board exam 2017 merit list leaked a day ahead of results

Guwahati : MBoSE SSLC 2017 Examination Result: Meghalaya Class 10 board exam 2017 merit list was leaked on Monday, a day ahead of the actual release of the results.

The incident happened when the Board of School Education Haryana released an incorrect merit list of Class 10 results.

Another merit list was seen floating on the social networking site Facebook, interestingly, that merit list proved to be the one resembling with the actual results that were released on Tuesday at the official website.

“It is an unfortunate thing, but the list which got leaked is the correct one. Thankfully, the entire set of results didn’t get leaked,” TR Laloo, control of examination of MBoSE, told the Hindustan Times.

As mentioned in the leaked Facebook merit list, Duyu Asung of St. George Secondary School in Nongmynsong and Lamphrang Lyngdoh of Ram Krishna Mission HS School in Cherrapunji got the first rank securing 568 out of total 600 marks.

More than fifty thousand students had appeared for the exam this year.

A technical glitch has been cited as the reason behind the leak. Laloo ruled out internal issues at MBoSE.

“The leak hasn’t happened due to internal issues at MBoSE. This is the first time it has happened. We are going ahead with the declaration of results as planned,” he said.
