New Delhi : On August 5, Indian government revoked Article 370 that provided special status to Jammu and Kahsmir and Ladakh. Post decision to scrap it, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will now be treated as normal states of India.

Interestingly, a monologue of Shahid Kapoor from his movie Haider started trending on the social media, which people are relating with the current situation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Haider is based on Shakespeare's Hamlet and is set in the backdrop of the militancy-ridden Kashmir. The monologue shows Shahid's character acting up over the situation of the people living in Kashmir and also, highlights Article 2 of Geneva Convention as well as Article 370 (now revoked).

Apart from that, the monologue also sees Haider point out how both Pakistan and India are trying to talk Kashmiris into the freedom of the nation on grounds of their territorial borders, not asking the people what do they want themselves.

While the monologue is very relatable to the current situation of the state, here is the video of the monologue.
