New Delhi : Bollywood actor Siddharth has alleged that his parents were harassed by airport security personnel at Tamil Nadu's Madurai Airport.

Sharing the ordeal, the actor posted an Instagram story in which he alleged that the security personnel made his parents remove coins from their bags, repeatedly spoke to them in Hindi and refused to talk in English despite being requested.

He also mentioned that when they protested, the security person said, "this is India and this is how it is."

"Harassed for 20 mins @ Madurai airport by CRPF. They made my senior parents remove coins from their bags! And repeatedly talked to us in Hindi after being told to speak in English," Siddharth shared on his Instagram Stories.

The actor has made the allegations against CRPF but the security at Madurai Airport comes under CISF, which is Central Industrial Security Forces, and not the CRPF, which is Central Reserve Police Force.
