Ajay Devgn's MAIDAAN gets new release date

New Delhi : Ajay Devgn's upcoming movie Maidaan was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on November 27 but the makers have now announced a new release date of the movie, which is inspired by the Indian national football team coach and manager Syed Abdul Rahim.

The movie will now be releasing in the theatres on December 11 this year.

Ajay Devgn made the announcement on social media with two new posters of the movie. "Maidaan will now release on December 11, 2020," he captioned the posters.



The film will be based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, who coached team India from 1950 to 1963. The Indian football team era under his training is referred to as the "golden age."

In 1963, he died of cancer.

Maidaan will be directed by Amit Ravindrenath Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios.

Other than this, Ajay Devgn will also be seen in the upcoming movies – Sooryavanshi and Bhuj: The Pride Of India.
