Alia Bhatt to sing a song for 'Sadak 2'

New Delhi : For the very first time, Alia Bhatt will be working with her father Mahesh Bhatt in 'Sadak 2' which will be a sequel to Mahesh Bhatt’s 1991 release 'Sadak'. It has been learned that the 'Highway' actress will be singing a song in the movie.

A source revealed, "While Jeet Ganguly’s score is ready, the lyrics are still being worked upon. Jeet da wanted to understand Alia’s pitch and voice modulation, so they decided to record the scratch. The lyrics will now be rewritten under the supervision of Mahesh Bhatt.  It is a romantic number and comes at a crucial point in the film, so Bhatt sir is being meticulous about it. The final track will be recorded only after the unit returns from their Ooty schedule in August."

Mahesh Bhatt will be returning to direction after two decades with Sadak 2. As per known information, Sadak's original lead pair Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt along with Aditya Roy Kapur.

Sadak 2 revolves around a young woman’s (Alia Bhatt) encounter with a godman who is out to expose a fake guru who runs an ashram. It will release on July 10, 2020.
