New Delhi : Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan says that he is an admirer of Diljit Dosanjh who is an Indian actor, singer, television presenter and social media celebrity as well. The ‘shahenshah’ of Bollywood extended his wishes for the entire team of the upcoming film Soorma and described Diljit as a “bright talent”. 

Diljit plays the lead role of international hockey player Sandeep Singh in the forthcoming film ‘Soorma’.  Big B wished the film’s director Shaad Ali and actress Taapsee Pannu, whom he referred as his “colleague”. “To Soorma, my best wishes to the director and friend Shaad; to my colleague Taapsee, to a bright talent and admirer of Diljit,” Amitabh Bachchan wrote in Twitter.

Soorma is a biographical film based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh, directed by Shaad Ali. Besides Diljit and Taapsee, the film also stars Angad Bedi, who plays the character of Bikramjeet Singh, the elder brother of Sandeep essayed by Diljit.

Soorma is produced by Sony Pictures Networks India and The CS Films. It is will hit the theatre on July 13, 2018.

Coming to Amitabh Bachchan, he is currently shooting in Glasgow for filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh’s next film Badla, which also stars Taapsee. This will be the second film that the two will share screen again after Pink.
