Mumbai : Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been granted bail by Mumbai High Court, three weeks after he was detained by NCB officials in a drugs-on-cruise case. He will have to spend two more nights inside the jail till official orders of his release come from the court.

Aryan Khan, 23, was taken into custody on October 3, hours after drug raids on a cruise ship party by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). He has been kept inside Arthur jail since then and his bail has been denied twice since then.

His lawyer Mukul Rohatgi had argued in the court that no drugs were found on his client and he is being detained on the basis of assumptions.

The NCB, however, claimed he was part of a conspiracy and that his WhatsApp chats revealed his involvement in illicit drug dealings.

Many people on social media lent their support to Aryan Khan and even called the whole arrest as witch-hunt.

The officer leading the drugs-on-cruise investigation, Sameer Wankhede, is facing an internal probe within the narcotics bureau and another by Mumbai Police over allegations of bribery and extortion related to the case.
