Avantika Malik drops 'Khan' surname amid divorce rumours

New Delhi : It looks like all is not well between Avantika Malik and Imran Khan these days, the former has dropped surname 'Khan' from her Twitter handle. This comes at a time when unconfirmed reports claim that the two have made up their mind for separation officially.

The couple, who had tied knot eight years back, is believed to be going through a rough patch in their lives.

While there are many reports which claim that they are heading for a divorce, her mother has claimed that there are problems but it does not mean that they will head for legal separation.

She said, "We all (Vandana, Avantika and Imran) read the news and let me tell you that there is no such thing. There are some differences (between the husband and wife), which will be sorted anyway."

Asked whether they were going for divorce she said, "Absolutely not."

Avantika is living with her parents these days, she had left Imran Khan's Pali residence with daughter Imara a couple of months back.

Imran and Avantika had tied the knot back in 2011.
