Baaghi 3 Box Office Collection: Tiger Shroff's movie mints Rs 53 crore on opening weekend
New Delhi : Despite coronavirus scare across the nation, Tiger Shroff fans went to watch his latest release Baaghi 3. The total number of infected people in India has risen to 43 and over 3000 people have been killed in China.
According to a report by Box Office India, the film has collected another Rs 19-20 crore on Sunday. This takes its total collection past the Rs 50 crore mark over the first weekend. It now stands at Rs 53 crore.
On Sunday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, slows on Day 2... Single screens strong, metro multiplexes ordinary... Should witness growth on Day 3... Day 5 [#Holi] should see substantial footfalls, post noon onwards... Eyes ₹ 52 cr [+/-] weekend... Fri 17.50 cr, Sat 16.03 cr. Total: ₹ 33.53 cr. #India biz.”
Director Ahmed Khan had said that they were pretty scared before the release of the movie, but are now overwhelmed to see the response from the audiences.
"Malls are not functioning, shops are not working, considering the situation, cinema is the last thing people want to go to.
"In such a scenario, the film has earned Rs 17.50 to Rs 18 crore and it is overwhelming. Even if we had made Rs 7 to 8 crore then also it would have been good. It is the biggest opening of the year till now. We had expected much more but you can’t fight almighty and nature," the director told PTI.
Baaghi 3, co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala, under the banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, also features Riteish Deshmukh and Ankita Lokhande.
