Bunty Aur Babli 2 Box Office collections stay poor over the weekend

New Delhi : Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji's latest release 'Bunty Aur Babli 2' failed to perform as per expectations as the movie managed to earn a little more than Rs 8 crores in the opening weekend.

The film did get a good promotion but still failed to create a hype it could have like the original one.

Despite big names including Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee starring in the film, the Bollywood offering could not attract an audience in large numbers to theatres and earned around Rs 2.5 crore on its first day.

The film, which had opened in around 1,800 screens in India, did not see growth in business on the second day of its release, with its two-day total adding up to Rs 5 crore at the Indian box office.

Meanwhile, less footfall is also being credited to the post covid era, where people are hesitating in going to movie theaters.
