New Delhi : The Centre on Wednesday accepted Bihar government’s proposal for a CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

According to Times Now, the CBI is likely to re-register the FIR filed by the Bihar Police, relating to sections of breach of trust, abetment to suicide and cheating.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh had earlier filed an FIR in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty and she was booked for unlawful confinement and abetment of suicide.

The CBI officials are expected to travel to Patna and collect case files from the Bihar police. Rhea Chakraborty could be summoned again for questioning.

Moreover, reportedly the Enforcement Directorate [ED] has summoned the actress for questioning on Friday. ED has tracked two major property investments made by Rhea in Mumbai after a money laundering investigation was initiated by the ED, after Sushant’s father alleged that money was siphoned off from his son’s account.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14 is being investigated by the Mumbai police and apart from his family and friends, filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Aditya Chopra have also recorded their statements.

Meanwhile, Bihar Police officers investigating the case in Mumbai may return to Patna soon.
