New Delhi : The wait is over! Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has released trailer for his upcoming movie Dangal, where he is all set to challenge the gender stereotype.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is based on the life of Haryana's wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat's life. 

It is an inspirational journey of Mr Phogat who trains his daughters in the field to win an Olympic gold for India.

Aamir Khan is essaying the character of Mahavir Phogat, while Sakshi Tanwar is playing the character of his wife.

The tagline of the film says, 'Mhari Chhoria Chhoro se kum hai ke?' which means - 'Are my daughters any lesser than the boys?'

Produced by UTV, Dangal will hit the silver screens on December 23, 2016.
