Dhadak Box Office Day 2: Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter's movie shows growth
Mumbai : Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s Dhadak is doing good business on the box office as it collected Rs 19.75 crores in two days.
According to a BoxOfficeIndia report, the film made Rs 10.5 crore on Saturday. The major chunk of earning is a result of aggressive promotions by the starcast across India. But, from now the film earnings will totally depend on the word of mouth publicity.
On Day 1, Dhadak had collected approximately Rs 8.71 crore in India and the film earned Rs 3.34 crore internationally.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported about Dhadak’s performance at the box office, “#Dhadak takes a HEROIC START... Rarely does a film starring absolute newcomers open so well... Day 1 is higher than #StudentOfTheYear [₹ 8 cr]… Fri ₹ 8.71 cr. India biz.”
He wrote in another tweet, “Dhadak opens very well in international markets... Total: approx $ 486k [₹ 3.34 cr]... Opening day biz in key markets...North America: $ 122k, UAE-GCC: $ 228k, UK-Ireland $ 47k, ANZ: $ 44k. Few markets yet to report... Final total, therefore, will be higher.”
Dhadak is a Hindi remake of the Marathi film Sairat.
