New Delhi : Akshay Kumar's latest release is inching towards Rs 50 crore mark with a decent footfall on Day 3.

The film collected brilliant Rs 25.25 crores opening day, then came down to Rs 8 crores on second day and as the weekend begins it is expected to collect around Rs 10 crores, taking the total to over Rs 43 crores net.

Amid good reviews from both the critics and the audiences, it is expected that the earnings of the film will show a good growth on Saturday and Sunday.

The film revolves around independent India's first Olympic gold win - a feat achieved by the Indian men's hockey team in 1948 at the 14th London Olympiad. Akshay plays the role of the manager of the team, Tapan Das.

The film also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh and Nikita Dutta in pivotal roles.
