Gulabo Sitabo: Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushmann Khurrana’s movie to release on Amazon Prime
New Delhi : Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar's next 'Gulbao Sitabo' starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles was scheduled to release in theatres on April 12, but amid ongoing lockdown and strict conditions, the makers have decided to release the movie directly onto online streaming platform Amazon Prime.
Ayushmann Khurrana shared the news with his fans and followers on Instagram. He mentioned that the movie will be digitally released on June 12.
Sircar’s quirky dramedy is the tale of two slimy scheming foxes in a game of one-upmanship, each one attracting other members to their clan and each one with an agenda of his own.
All thanks to the digital release, the movie will reach directly to 200 countries and territories.
"This is the dawn of a new era for Indian entertainment," Sircar told a news agency. "I am happy that a global audience will be able to watch our gritty dramedy, and enjoy what the film has in store for them. ''Gulabo Sitabo'' is a quirky, lighthearted movie that the audience can enjoy with their families. It has been a wonderful experience working with Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana on the film."
'Gulabo Sitabo' has been produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.
