Happy Birthday Kartik Aaryan: From bunking classes to becoming chocolate boy of Bollywood
New Delhi : Kartik Aaryan has turned 32 on November 22. And his journey from being a middle-class boy of Gwalior to chocolate boy of Bollywood is an interesting tale everyone must know. Once he was an actor of low budget movies and now, he charges whopping 35-40 crores per movie.
The stardom for Kartik Aaryan is growing with every new release, but his start was not like this. His parents wanted him to make a career in engineering and he also joined an engineering college. He wanted to become an actor so he started bunking college classes for auditions. After struggling a lot, facing multiple rejections, Kartik finally received a movie – Pyaar Ka Punchnama. The movie was a hit but at that time, Kartik did not have enough money to even buy a car. In an interview, Kartik had revealed that his first car was a third hand car, now he owns many luxurious cars like BMW, Lamborghini etc.
First Movie for Rs 1.25 lakh
Kartik Aaryan had to struggle a lot to get his first Bollywood movie. He was in the third year when he signed his first movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Interestingly, he told his parents about the movie only after signing the movie. He was given Rs 1.25 lakh for the movie at that time. The movie was a hit; made on a budget of Rs 10 crores, it managed to earn Rs 17 crores.
12 movies in 11 years
Looking at the 11-year-long career of Kartik Aaryan, he has worked in 12 movies. 1 out of them is a short movie, 1 is an OTT-release and rest 10 were released in theaters. His biggest hit is recently released Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which earned whopping Rs 185 crores and was made on a budget of Rs 70 crores.

Now, Kartik Aaryan has become a Bollywood star and like many A-listers, he has also increased his fees to a whopping amount of Rs 35-40 crores.
