New Delhi : Actress Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor recently announced the news of pregnancy with their fans on social media, soon after which media publications flooded the news topped with speculations. One of the news publications reported that Ranbir Kapoor will be flying to UK to pick his wife Alia Bhatt.

Reacting to the report, Alia Bhatt trashed the report with harsh words, slamming them of reporting fake news.

On her Instagram stories, Alia Bhatt posted the screenshot of the news post and wrote, "Meanwhile we still live in some peoples heads we still live in some patriarchal world .. fyi. Nothing has gotten delayed!!!!! No one needs to PICK anyone up. I am a woman not a parcel!!!! I do not need to REST at all but good to know you'll have a doctors certification as well :) This is 2022. Can we pls get out of this archake way of thinking! Now if you would excuse me.. my shot is ready."

On Monday, Alia Bhatt had shared a post from the hospital announcing her pregnancy.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had tied knot in April this year after dating each other for about four years. The couple tied the knot in a private and intimate wedding ceremony at Ranbir’s house in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the couple will be seen together in upcoming movie Brahmastra.
