Kabir Singh beats Avengers Endgame on Google's most searched film of 2019

New Delhi : Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh emerged out as the most searched film of 2019 on the Google India's list. The Bollywood hit was followed by Hollywood blockbuster Avenger Endgame.

Defying the rage reviews against Kabir Singh, the film managed a good collection of Rs 380 crores on the Box Office.However, Avengers Endgame was the highest grosser at Rs 450 crores in India and massive $2,798 billion worldwide.

Interestingly, three out of top five most searched films on Google India list are from Hollywood. Kabir Singh and Endgame were followed by Joker, Captain Marvel and Super 30.

Joker and Captain Marvel performed well on the Box Office worldwide. Also, Super 30 marked Hrithik Roshan's grand success return on the Box Office, followed by another blockbuster hit War.

At the number six position was Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal; number seven went to Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Oscar entry Gully Boy. Another Akshay film, Housefull 4, took the ninth spot. The list was rounded off by Uri: The Surgical Strike.

In general search category, the list was dominated by the popular searches on the Lok Sabha Elections, Chandrayaan 2, and Article 370.
