IIFA 2017: Saif, Karan to host the show in New York, Varun Dhawan to play co-host
New Delhi : Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan are all set to host the much-awaited event of the year IIFA 2017 that will be held in New York this year. This will be the 18th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards.
Saif Ali Khan on being asked about his excitement about the event said they have many surprises in store for the people. According to HT, he said, “I am happy to be back to the IIFA stage this year as I join my close friend Karan Johar to host the IIFA Awards in New York. The excitement for IIFA has been steadily growing worldwide. This year it’s going to be super fun and glamorous in every way as Karan and I am are going to have lots of surprises in store for our fans internationally.”
IIFA is all about celebration and awarding the Indian film, dance, fashion, music and much more. The event is going to be grand with performances of many superstars which will be adding stars to the night. Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sushant Singh Rajput are a few names who will be performing at the IIFA 2017.
Varun Dhawan will be making at IIFA awards with his performance. Also, Varun will be co-hosting a part of the awards on the night of July 15th. On this Varun said, “It’s going to be a grand celebration and I can’t wait to be there.”
Riteish Deshmukh along with Manish Paul will host the IIFA Rocks. In IIFA Rocks, it will be a celebration for A.R. Rahman and his 25 years in Bollywood. IIFA Rocks will have a medley of musicians like Dilijit, Rahman, Benny Dayal, Jonita Gandhi and much more.
