Kareena Kapoor to play female lead in Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha

Mumbai : Actress Kareena Kapoor has been confirmed as the female lead in Aamir Khan's upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha. A PTI report confirmed that the actress has given nod to play the lead role in the movie.

Kareena Kapoor is currently holidaying in London with her family. She will soon start shooting for her upcoming movie Angrezi Medium, which also stars Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan.

According to earlier reports, Aamir Khan was more keen on taking Katrina Kaif as the female lead in the movie. A Mid-Day report had earlier said, “The chemistry between the characters must be effortless. Aamir wants Kareena to play the part. She is in London till August, shooting for Angrezi Medium. She will make a pit stop in Mumbai next month for her TV commitments. The final call on the casting will be taken then.”

Well, it will be a treat for fans to see Kareena and Aamir Khan working together one more time; they had appeared together in 3 Idiots and Talaash: The Answer Lies Within.

On Aamir’s birthday in March this year, the actor had revealed that his next film would be Laal Singh Chaddha - an official remake of hit Hollywood film, Forrest Gump, which starred Tom Hanks in the titular role. The Hindi remake will release around Christmas in 2020.
