Kashmir terror attack: Shah Rukh Khan to Akshay Kumar, Bollywood grief on Pulwama tragedy

New Delhi : 14th February 2019, the so-called Valentine’s Day became the darkest day till date when more than 40 personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in a sudden terror attack in Kashmir.  An explosives-laden vehicle drove into a bus carrying soldiers and blasted off in the Pulwama district. The terror attack is said to be one of the worst ever since the Uri incident in 2016. The entire nation including the Bollywood world mourns on this tragedy.  

The nation is under deep grief and strongly condemns the attack. Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan offered prayers and condolences to the victims' families in the attack.

Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, "Heartfelt condolences to the families of our valiant jawans. May the souls of our countrymen who laid their lives down for us rest in peace."

Aamir Khan tweeted as well, "I am heartbroken to read about the terrorist attack on our CRPF Jawans in Pulwama. It's so tragic. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the Jawans who have lost their lives."

Bollywood and Hollywood actor Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter to condemn the attack in the strongest of words. The actress wrote, "Absolutely shocked by the attack in #Pulwama...Hate is NEVER the answer!!! Strength to the families of the martyred jawans and the CRPF soldiers injured in the attack."

Salman Khan wrote, "My heart goes out for the Jawans of our beloved country and their families who lost their life as martyrs to save our families... #YouStandForIndia."

Ajay Devgn wrote, "Horrible and disgusting. Anger can't be put into words. #KashmirTerrorAttack."

Abhishek Bachchan also expressed his anger on Twitter, "Such terrible news coming from #Pulwama. Today when people are celebrating love, hate raises it's ugly head too. My thoughts and prayers for the martyrs and their families."

Nimrat Kaur wrote, "Devastated by the god awful #Pulwama incident. At a complete loss for words."

"Very very tragic!!My heart goest out to the bereaved families of the martyred soldiers!! Any word would fall short to condemn the dastardly act of violence in Pulwama!! Cowardice act of terrorism!!" wrote Manoj Bajpayee on Twitter.

Akshay Kumar wrote, "Numb beyond belief at the dastardly terror attack on #CRPF soldiers in #Pulwama. May God give peace to their souls, and strength to their grieving families. Wishing the injured a speedy recovery. We can't let this be forgotten."
