Kate Sharma makes U-turn, withdraws sexual harassment case against Subhash Ghai
Mumbai : Model actress Kate Sharma on Saturday made a U-turn and withdrew her sexual harassment case against director Subhash Ghai that she had filed under 'Me Too' campaign on social media.
According to a news report filed by Mid-Day, the actress told the cops in a written note that she is "fed up" with the way her case is being handled. Elaborating more of her reasons, she claimed that people are making fun of the #MeToo campaign. Nothing has happened; none has been arrested so far.
Confirming the development, a senior Mumbai Police officer told Mid Day that their officers had approached the actress for investigation enquiry but she informed them in written note that she wants to withdraw her case as her mother is unwell and she wants to take care of her.
Kate Sharma had alleged Subhash Ghai of asking her to massage him in public where he groped her and also tried to kiss her. She had filed a written complaint against him on October 12.
Subhash Ghai had refused all the allegations, saying that it is an attempt to gather social media fame via #MeToo campaign.
