Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal wedding to be on OTT platform
Mumbai : Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's wedding is gaining all the attention these days and now a report has claimed that the couple has sold digital rights of the wedding to an OTT platform for a whopping sum of Rs 80 crores.
According to a report published in ETimes, the prime reason behind the secrecy of the VicKat wedding is that the couple has sold the rights to their exclusive wedding footage to Amazon Prime Video. This means that their fans will be able to see the couple’s wedding on Amazon Prime after some time.
While this is not a new concept in West, this is happening for the first time in India when the wedding streaming rights have been sold. The report added that the wedding video will be streamed in early 2022 before the buzz around their marriage takes a backseat. The video will not only just showcase the wedding but the entire four-day celebration including Mehendi, Haldi, Sangeet and other special functions.
Earlier, a photo of the document being sent to the guest, asking them to leave their phones in their rooms, went viral on social media. The note to the guests read, “We request you to please leave your mobile phones in your respective rooms and refrain from posting pictures or using social media for any of the ceremonies and events (sic).”
The couple is set to tie the knot on December 9, 2021. Several celebrities including Vicky Kaushal’s childhood friend Malavika Mohanan, Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Aastha Gill, Toshiba Sabri, DJ Chetas, among others reached Jaipur today for the big fat Punjabi wedding.
