New Delhi : Loveyatri from Salman Khan's production house is facing the heat of time, soon after the release of the film's song.

Initially named as Loveratri, producer Salman Khan has to change the name of the film as Hindu protested saying that it was an insult to the sacred festival of Navratri. But the change of movie name was seemed not enough.

Accordingly, an FIR was registered against Salman and six others at Meethanpura police station in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. They were charged of hurting the sentiments of the Hindus.

The FIR 359/18 was registered on September 21 as per the order of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court of Shailendra Rai, after hearing a complaint filed by local advocate Sudhir Ojha on September 12. The court then ordered the police to register an FIR against Salman Khan, his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, who is playing the lead role along with actress Warina Hussain.

As per the complaint lodged, the film's title hurt Hindu sentiments by ridiculing the festival of Navratri and promotes vulgarity.

"We have filed an FIR against Salman Khan and others on the directions of the court. We will investigate the matter and take necessary action," said Vijay Kumar Rai, SHO Meethanpura police station.

Advocate Sudhir Ojha alao mentioned that the film's previous name Lovaratri, denigrated Goddess Durga.

The complaint was filed in the court against Salman Khan and the rest under section 295(injuring or defiling place of worship), 298 (uttering words with deliberate intent to hurt religious sentiments), 153 (provoke with intent to cause riots), 153(B) (assertions prejudicial to national integrity) and 120(B) (criminal conspiracy)of Indian penal code.

Besides, the Gujarat High Court issued notices to the production house, Salman Khan Films (SKF), Gujarat Government and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), following a PIL, filed by Hindu outfits. The court listen to the detailed replies in the next hearing, scheduled for September 27.
