Marjaavaan First Look: Sidharth Malhotra walks with dwarf Riteish Deshmukh
New Delhi : A first-look picture of Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria-starrer Marjaavaan has been released by the makers. The poster also features the villain of the movie Riteish Deshmukh.
A Mumbai Mirror report has a picture which shows Riteish walking menacingly behind Sidharth, the catch being Riteish’s size. The actor plays a dwarf, much like Shah Rukh Khan’s character in Zero. Both have guns in their hands.
The two actors had earlier worked in the movie Ek Villain. It has been learned that Riteish was not very keen in doing the character of a villain again so, the director Milap Zaveri and the makers decided to give it a twist by making it dwarf. Riteish's character is called Vishnu in the movie.
The report quoted Milap as saying, “We decided to make his villain three-foot-tall but larger-than-life midget with a wicked sense of humour. His Vishnu is arrogant and thinks he is invincible.”
Speaking about the fact that it may resembles to Shah Rukh Khan's Baua in Zero, Milap said, “Shah Rukh played a smaller version of himself. We storyboarded the screenplay and had a midget gentleman on the sets for Riteish to imbibe certain mannerisms and ensure he didn’t go overboard or underplay the physical aspects of the character.”
Marjaavaan will be Tara Sutaria's second movie post Student of the Year. The film also stars Rakul Preet in the pivotal roles.
