Mumtaz Death Rumour: 'The actress is alive and absolutely fine'
Mumbai : There was a buzz on social media from past couple of hours that yesteryear actress Mumtaz has passed away. One of the Bollywood's trade analyst Komal Nahta shared the information on Twitter. However, the information appears to be fake as the actress is fine, alive and doing good.
When Mumtaz got to know about this news, she was shocked to hear that people think that she had passed away. Satyameva Jayate director Milap Zaveri took to Twitter to dismiss the rumours and wrote, “Mumtaz Aunty is alive and absolutely fine. Just spoke to her and @Shaadrandhawa her nephew. She would like for the rumours to stop (sic).”
Mumtaz’s younger daughter, Tanya Madhvani, also dismissed the reports on social media. She posted a video with caption, “So exhausting another rumour of my mother’s death. She is healthy and looking beautiful as always and has asked me to let her fans know she is well ! It’s all rubbish 😘”.
Komal Nath later apologised for the wrong information shared by him on the social media. He posted, "Extremely sorry for posting news about Mumtaz ji’s demise. By God’s grace, she is hale and hearty. The incorrect news is gaining ground in the film trade. But to set the record straight, Mumtaz ji is absolutely fine."
