New Delhi : The final post mortem report of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has been submitted to the Mumbai Police. In the report, the cause of death has been reported as ‘asphyxia due to hanging’.

According to a news report by India Today, the provisional post mortem report was prepared by three doctors and the final post mortem report has been signed by five doctors. The actor’s viscera has been preserved and sent for chemical analysis.

The report mentioned that it was a clear case of suicide and no foul play has been involved. "There were no struggle marks or external injuries on Sushant Singh Rajput’s body. His nails were clean."

On June 14, Sushant Singh Rajput's body was found hanging from the ceiling of his residence in Mumbai.

He was 34 and suffering from depression. Twenty-three persons have been questioned in connection to the case, including Sushant’s father and sisters, his CA; Siddharth Pithani, his friend and creative content manager; Keshav, the cook; Mohd Shaikh, the locksmith; Shakeel Hussain, the brother of locksmith; Uday Singh Gauri, business manager; Radhika Nihalani, PR manager; Kushal Zaveri, the director of Sushant’s first serial who later became his manager; Rhea Chakraborty, Mukesh Chhabra, and others.

The police also notified that his dog is alive and claimed that news websites which reported alternate theories may be questioned about their news sources.
