Police to send notice to Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra for fraud

Mumbai : The Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra came into lime light along with his husband Raj Kundra. The Bhiwandhi police is going to send them notices to come down to police station to record their statements for a cheating case against them. 

Recently a case has been registered against five people, including Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. They have accused by a bedsheet supplier company, Bhalotiya Exports Ltd. For not paying them the amount of Rs. 24.12lakh, for the bed sheets they supplied.  The company accused them of supplying them the bed sheets ordered online but never received the payment.

The case has been registered under sections related to criminal breach of trust an cheating of the Indian Penal Code. “We will send them notice to appear for further investigation. Right now our officers are collaborating all the information about the crime.” said Deputy Commissioner of police Manoj Patil.

Raj Kundra flewed away the allegations against them. He said, ‘This is a civil matter and an abuse of the law. We have tight contracts signed. On the contrary, the vendor owes us money for not fulfilling orders. Best deal company is, unfortunately, being wound up due to the business failing and we are following the laws of the land to close the various matters properly. It’s sad that my wife’s name is dragged to create media hype. She was a non-executive, who had nothing to do with the daily running of the businesses.

The police added that the complainant, Mr Ravi Bhalotiya said that Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, which was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Kundra took the bed sheets they orders. Bt payment has not yet been received for the period August-November 2015 and from May-August 2016.
