Rhea Chakraborty's brother arrested, to be produced in court today

New Delhi : Actor Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik and Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager Samuel Miranda have been arrested on Friday for their alleged connection in the drug abuse related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

The two have been charged under multiple sections of the anti-narcotics law and will be produced in a court on Saturday, said a news report.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) team had raided the residences of Samuel Miranda and Rhea Chakraborty's house on Friday morning.

NCB Deputy Director (operations) KPS Malhotra, who is heading the probe team of the agency, was seen leading the search and he told journalists that the houses of Showik and Miranda were being searched as a "procedural" action. Showik and Rhea Chakraborty live in the same house.

Other than the two men, NCB has also arrested two drug peddlers operating in Maharashtra. One more person has been detained in the case till date.

The two arrested are Zaid Vilatra, 21, and Abdel Basit Parihar while Kaizan Ibrahim is being questioned since Thursday.

The NCB has said that it is looking into "the drug citadel in Mumbai, and especially Bollywood" in this case. According to officials, the mobile phone chats and messages indicated procurement, transportation and consumption of drugs and these leads were shared by the ED with the NCB and the CBI.
