Rishi Kapoor is cancer free, reveals Rahul Rawail

New Delhi : Actor Rishi Kapoor had not been revealing officially that he was suffering from cancer since last seven months. Now, one of his close friends Rahul Rawail has said that the actor is done with his treatment and now cancer free.

Rawail posted a picture with the actor and captioned it, "Rishi Kapoor is free from cancer now."

Kapoor announced around seven months back that he was leaving the country. It was revealed that he went to New York to get the treatment for an undisclosed ailment.

Later on the New Year, a post by Neetu Kapoor hinted that he was getting a treatment for cancer disease. The caption on her post read, “Happy 2019 no resolutions only wishes this year !!! Less pollution traffic!! Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign !!! No hatred less poverty loads of love togetherness happiness n most imp. Good health.” (sic)

Recently, in his emotional acceptance speech upon winning the Best Actor trophy at Filmfare Awards 2019, Rishi Kapoor’s son, Ranbir Kapoor talked about what had been going in his father’s min all this while. He said that his father is going through a tough phase in life and keeps on wondering if he will ever be able to make a comeback on screen. Ranbir added that the veteran actor often asks him to give him details of the industry while expressing his doubts over whether he will get work again in movies or not.
